Riders Required for Adventure of a Life Time
In August 2010 the ‘Ultimate Ride’ will commence. This will be a World record PWC ride from London to Sydney and on to New Zealand. See www.london-sydney.org for more details.
We are looking for people interested in becoming the second rider and the third and forth (backup riders). The second rider will be planned to ride the whole way. The two backup riders will remain in New Zealand but be available to fly out at short notice in case one of the primary riders is unable to continue. The ride is expected to take around 4 months. Applicants should be aware that, at times, this will be a very tough event with up to 50 hours riding a week for weeks on end. It will be more a mental challenge than a physical challenge.
These positions are unpaid although all of your expenses will be paid. This is, however, an opportunity to be part of an amazing adventure which also supports a very good cause. This is an exercise in ‘giving’. All members of our team are highly motivated to give their time to making the event a success and to achieve a great result for the cancer cause. Successful applicants will be expected to become involved with the team and help with preparations.
The rider positions will, ultimately, be filled by highly motivated people with appropriate skill sets.
Applicants will need to make themselves available for a comprehensive selection process in August 2009.
If you think you have what it takes, send the following details by email to Jeremy@london-sydney.org :
Resume
Photograph
References
A document stating why you think you should be one of the riders and what you can bring to the team.
Any ideas you have for possible sponsors.
