I have just purchased a gps sounder combo and am getting different messages as to where to put the transducer. I see that andrew sells a bracket for transom mounting it but wonder if i will break it in the surf or parked on a beach. I figure if it is mounted inside the hull i can't break it but do i lose performance and if so how much? Is a second battery needed to run the unit ? Can anyone recommend anywhere for installations of transducer gps/ff and second battery (I have a yamaha FX160) I ...

Hi Crew, I was watching one of our local NZ fishing shows that went abroad to Aus, looked really excited fishing with opportunities off a jetski. Look forward to your updates whether you guys have targeted the local fisheries, they were fly fishing in work ups at a point where two river mouths currents met together.

Would like to catch up and go jet ski fishing with any locals and get some tips. I like using soft plastics no mess. I also find this forum excellent top tips.
