I use both, but historically I have found you get bigger fish on 7" plastics

Gee I'm surprised the way this is going. I use both but replied 7" because I am getting better sucess with them and decent sized snaps too. I have never caught an undersized snap on a 7" but have got some real good sized ones. Only benefit I can see for 5"s is you get more in a packet for your money.

Soft bait
First time out on ski for fishing first thing this morning. Went out to fat rock. used 7'' nuke had 4 snappes in 20 minuties about the 8pound mark. wind came up so headed home.
