20th to 22nd of March, Social Fishing trip to Waihi Beach and weather depending Mayor Island
After recent interest and a non eventful overnighter, we have confirmed at trip to Bowentown at Waihi Beach, which will consist of a Friday 20th and Saturday 21st nights where there is chalets and a ramp within 200 metres. The proposed accomodation is at Ontheharbour in Pio Road, the rate will be very good per person ( Family Deal) yet we we may need to mix up in units as a total of a dozen can be accomodated.
Depending on numbers and whether there is any couples for sleeping arrangements, will be approx $45 per head per night.
We have the options of fishing in the harbour where the Kingies are now frequenting, or out on Steels Reef off the main beach, or out to Mayor Island on the right day.
From Auckland, the trip would take about 1 hour 45 mins, from Tauranga the trip would take about 45 minutes.
Would be great to meet some of our Tauranga Jetskifishoes! First in first serve, if the numbers get larger I can organise some other rental properties close by. I was thinking a date within 2 weeks or so, but the rate does not include Easter which is no good for me, so come on crew, speak up and lets make the most of the booked weekend. P.S. The Boating Club is within walking distance and we can have a few well priced coldies!

Re: 20th to 22nd of March, Social Fishing trip to Waihi Beach and weather depending Mayor Island
Hang on guys...........aren't we getting a little ahead of ourselves, they might not let Fishoe the Snapper Slaughterer down in those parts as they are trying to maintain their fish stocks for the future!!
Quotes like "fish for tomorrow" and "limit your catch, not catch your limit" will not apply when Fishoes in town.
And don't get me started on the piddly fishing club.....they would have to start stocking up now for Fishoe to quench his thirst after he just slayed the entire population of snapper under 30cms to ensure he could get 20+ in his bin !!
Other than that, sounds like a fun trip especially when the entertainment is free courtesy of the Fish Ho!

Sounds like fine, shame about the gulf overnighter..
And yes Andrew I'd be keen as bro
Can we please set up a SNORERS register please!!!
Shame we don't have a couple of tandem trailers could have doubled up and saved some fuel (for on the water
)
Cheers
