Over Nighter 27th-28th Anyone interested
Hi Guys
Weather looks good (so far) for an overnighter for the Sat and Sunday (27th & 28th Feb) light (SW) winds both days hardly any swell.
Any ideas on location for camp? how was Garden Cove?
Keith

Just time the tides for where ever you go for beaching the skis. The tides in the weekend should be ok from memory. I cannot make it but I am sure someone will be keen. Garden Cove was great!!!!

Keith, I may be a starter for Sat night. Conditions and tide look great for Garden Cove. Even better than the last expedition.
I'm thinking of taking one of my boys though. Would that bother you?

Hi Innsie
Kids no problem for me...as long as he does not catch to many fish...especially if they are bigger fish than the "adults"
could make it a father and son camp except my son is 22 and bigger than me... plus at 22 they don't hang around with dad any more...unless you're buying them something or they need something from you...

My son said he wouldn't mind joining a jetski overnighter (I'm obviously not completely un-cool yet) so if there was a parent and offspring overnighter sometime, we'd prob be up for that. Unfortunately work has me grounded this weekend so can't make it on this trip.
My son is joining me for the fishing competition though so that's double the chances of a prize!

I'll make a decision tomorrow if I'm heading out or not on Sat afternoon to set up camp say 7pm. Looks 90% likely at this stage. Still planning on Garden Cove - it's ideallic!
Keith - my 14 y/old boys first snapper off the ski was 55cm so we'll probably come off 2nd best

Gee I don't want those things on my mind... especially if he's anything like his old man was at that age
I will be taking Anthony along. Prob eat dinner prior but have a wee snack on an open fire. Bring along something for that if you're coming. 3 confirmed at this stage. It'll be relaxed fun. I'll leave Bklds ramp about 5:30 and cruise out... catch a fish on the way hopefully.

Ok Im definately in and bringing my 13 yo daughter. Be leaving from KawaKawa Bay around 6-6.30. Heading to Garden Cove around bottom end. Will have vhf on channel 82/6. Probably go straight there and set up camp and then maybe go out to catch a fish for dinner - Gannet maybe.
Is someone taking a gas stove? I have a pan etc but the hose on my cooker is perished. Should have checked it earlier.
High tide at 7pm so I suppose need to beach skis by then or shortly after.

Hi Richard. See you there. Agree with beaching skis by say 7:30pm latest. I'm taking a gas cooker so dont worry about that. Also taking spare gas so should be good. I'm heading out about 4:45pm to cruise out. Safe traveling!
