This is a cobra hh475 vhf radio.
For us jetskifishers this is ideal.
- waterproof
- floats
- 6w
- has bluetooth for mobile phone connectivity
This will be ideal for Innsie and Myron who keep donating their phones to the sea gods. They wont need to get it out of the dry bag anymore
Just a note. Some idiot paid over $700 on trademe for one of these even though they retail for $430!

SRSLY that was last year that pic, we pillaged on the ski, its probably easier than the boat as you have the dredge centrally connected so it doesnt pull off to one side like with the boat ( and with the old boy driving we went in circles more than once ) also you just lift the dredge onto the swim platform, not up and over the side of the boat, then sort through the scollies so if the dredge is choca its a bit less work, this year I have only been about 15 times and around xmas the harbour was full of this red sea lettuce which was a real chore to dredge through, but yeah it does work good, I dont think the weight of the tow vessel would have much to do with it as long as you have power and plenty of chain on the dredge.
