Hello fishing mostly on kayaks and recently got into PWC. Just finished riggin my 08 FXHO. Dont have action pics yet but will have this weekend. Chillbox rigged for live bait both when underway via spout and while drifting/anchored via 12v pump. Doubles as fishhold at the end of the day. 4 vertical rod holders and 1 trolling holder. Riveted cutting board. the chillbox set up with rack, under $150 to build. The postman still have my Garmin Colorado 400c and Eagle 250 S/MAP.

Hoping to catch more Yellowtails (Kings), White seabass (Mulloway) and Halibuts here in the CA coast this coming season.

Very very good eating. Flaky but moist. Best when wrapped with bacon and grilled over coals. Halibut meat is about US14.00/lb in the markets here so catching one is a trophy for us.

Welcome to the forum and I must say, very clever idea using the yamaha water spout to pump a flow of water into the livebait bin..well done !! You sure you ain't a "Kiwi" as that is something we would usually come up with, with the addition of soime No.8 wire holding something on !! lol!

Awesome to have you on here, and we all certainly look forward to your reports from the other side of the world. Remember one day I may be on holiday over your way.........

Ha Ha, all good.

Have you got any other buddies over there fishing off their skis ?

That halibut is really expensive fish then !!! That would equate to about $68 per kilo for us in NZ.....which would be the most expensive fish to buy !! you must have been EXCITED to land a beast like that !!!

Do they put up much of a fight?

California halibuts around 30# put up a good fight especially on 12# test. Took me a good 10 minutes to bring her up from 60ft. So far there are 5 in my group that are recent "converts" from yaks to skis. Hella fun, as far as motoring, I like this better than my 21' CC. Hoping to go offshore with the skis for the tunas when they show up.
