Starting issues....
May be an easy solution but hope you can suggest a solution...
My 2003 Seadoo GTX starts and runs like a dream, that is until it has been running for a while. It is often a little bit slow to start and I often need to pump the gas a couple of times to get it started... no other issues to report of... any ideas?
Thanks

Re: Starting issues....
When was your skis last service?
how many hours?
maybe could do with a new set of plugs,or the injectors need a clean, could even have blocked fuel filters you should get it checked out.

Re: Starting issues....
Serviced only 30 hours ago, and has 130hours on the clock... running fine otherwise...
I may investigate new plugs... but would think that these would be replaced at service wouldn't they?... as for the rest I may get an early service booked in...
Thanks

Re: Starting issues....
If it's injected then pumping the throttle does nothing, normally you would start on no throttle I would think. holding the throttle open while cranking is normally how you clear a flooded engine so i'd start with a new set of plugs or maybe a service.

Re: Starting issues....
Thanks... its really when you are turning over the engine that it seems to not always start, but putting on some throttle seems to kick it into starting... I'm just concerned that you can start off with a real kick of speed instead of it idling....

Re: Starting issues....
Worthwhile getting it checked out I think, nothing worse than an engine that doesnt fire when out at sea, you need the peace of mind knowing it will start rather than thinking, will it? wont it? all the time, just spoils your fishing don't it?
