40 Year Old Virgin

Post  HOTBODZ on Mon Feb 16 2009, 18:29

Well , almost 40 .
Finally got my jetski (Seadoo RXT 2005) Have been having an awesome time out there with the wife, family etc and now noticed the buzz with jetski fishing so have rigged my ski
with the ultimate jetski set up and purchased rods, net, drift anchor etc .
This will be my first time jetski fishing and softbaiting.
Im looking for info and recomendations for fishfinder and uhf radio and what else may be necessary , what is best value for money etc , dont want to skimp and find i need to replace 6months or a year later but also dont need to go top end.
Any help would be much appreciated . Looking forward to getting out there .

I bought one of these waterproof units, GPS/fishfinder Eagle Cuda 250 which has a basic chartplotter also, great deal for the price at $449 at Burnsco of you are a cardholder (free to join) the guy told me they are losing money on them due to the change in exchange rate but have to honour the special. I also got a Cobra 125 VHF handheld for $129 there which works great. www.burnsco.co.nz

Their fishfinders start at $179 if you dont want the combo unit but the GPS is handy.

Yeah it should handle that, I dont think they are designed to be submerged but they are listed as waterproof.

i looked at the cobra 125 at burnsco as well , the guy in the shop said water proof not water resistant , he said it would only take
a few light splashes and better off with the submergable one , $200 more .
im going to get the Uniden Voyager , submersible to 1 metre for 30 minutes $379 at burnsco
