The new 2009 Jetskifishing FX HO
Hi Crew, some of you may have seen my new Waverunner at the 2009 Hutchwilco Boat Show in Auckland, NZ. Here is some images and info for those interested.
The PWC is a 2009 Yamaha FX HO Waverunner, 1812cc, 4-Cylinder, 4-Stroke, Non-Supercharged ( basically the same spec as SHO without supercharger) NanoXcel Hull Material, Dry Weight - 360kg
I have installed a Raymarine A57D Sounder/Plotter at the factory drinks holder location with an aftermarket bracket which is part of our "Ultimate Rod Holder" kit product options. The transducer is mounted externally at the rear boarding ladder using factory bolts with an after market bracket so no extra screws are added to ski.
LED Navigation lights have been installed with an anchor light as part of the rod holder.
The rod holder kit is a custom 54 Litre kit which was colour matched for display purposes and the frame has further structural support allowing for game options.

Hi Andrew
The rig looks great. what does in handle like compared to you old FX 160 HO? Fuel economy?
I bet Yamaha did well off the site...hope you do also.

Re: The new 2009 Jetskifishing FX HO
Hi Keith, as we learn something new everday. Here is my experience if been educated correctly! The early FX HO all the way up to 2006 had a different hull until changing to the NanoXcel technology. Yet on the 2007 & 2008 FXHO which I understand is the same hull as my SHO and 2009 FX HO. So in short apart from the overall engine performance they may not be a huge improvement from yours if it is a 2007, but my FXHO was and 06 so the handling and ride was a big improvement going NanoXcel.
With regards to the show, I perceived rigged ski got a great response for Yamaha and I spoke to plenty of newbies and interested fishoes actioning the idea of jetskifishing. The best I heard today is that Yamaha, won most innovative stand at the show. As you guys know I put in the hours and passion which got me to this point so all positive keeps the wheels turning. Hopefully soon there is a more positive appreciation and credit given to continue my drive, as to date the support is not as strong as most expect after the rapid growth and interest.
I can also mention Raymarine received great feedback, including at least one client at the show aquiring the same unit as my A57D, the team at Raymarine have a fine example of customer service and are extremely positive with what they receive from sponsorship committments with jetskifishing.
