Nav. lights
I have a VX1100deluxe ski. Have got some nav lights. Was going to fit them just behind and above mirrors but found hull vents there. Would anyone have another idea for placement. Also should i run them from a spare battery or main battery through a switch? And were would a good place be to fit said switch?

Re: Nav. lights
If they are LEDs you could probably run them from the main battery OK, but a spare battery is a great idea (though I don't have one yet!).
I set up my LED sidelights to run off a 9v rechargeable battery (the little rectangle ones, one for each light). In my initial test I got over 3.5 hrs and they were still going strong. I haven't used them on the water (not a fan of early mornings or late nights, and have to drive 1.5+ hrs to go fishing), but wanted the lights sorted so I have the option, or if it is foggy.

Re: Nav. lights
I would always run them off a second battery. IMO its not worth risking a flat startup battery.
