Andrew, FYI I just got a flyer from SKIMD in the mail and he is advertising the fishing comp with "$35 early bird entry fee before 12/03/10" !
Hi Richard, I spotted that to, a typo on their behalf, I will discuss with them.

Hey Dually and Nounou awesome fish and if anyone landed something of that size in the comp I would be stoked whoever it is.

Is that kingi on the left sporting battle scares from terrorising bait fish around the rocks and possibly some bigger predators chasing it........................or are they some gaff shots gone awol !!!

We will do our best, the spot doesnt fail that often.... especially at this time of the year! Put a fair bit of pressure on us now though, sorry nounou!!

The scars on the left hand one are from the braid and rocks. He was caught at the last Furuno comp and we spend about half an hour driving the boat backwards anti clockwise around the bloody rock trying to get him out after he got caught up. The braid was so warn out when we got it in that it was clumping up in balls at the roller tip of the rod and we had to keep cutting it off..... were lucky to land it. 3 of them were on a triple hookup, get that on the ski and i am f%$#ed What a Face

Reminder - Join Coast Guard if not a member!

Post  Innsie on Tue Mar 09 2010, 06:40

Andrew, the pulse is starting to climb mate. Looking like a great event and well organised.

Fingers, arms and sea-legs crossed for a safe and enjoyable day for all.

This is just a wee reminder for those out there that aren't Coastguard members - this is a good time/reminder to join up. I keep talking about it and have finally done so tonight. $95 for 12 months.
