My ski is being a bit naughty at odd times, I can go for a run (8k) @ 20-30 mph and its fine I drift around and do some re-starts then it takes a while to start and is a bit off beat have had the plugs out and they look fine. out 2day all was fine until time to go and it took a while to fire up.
Any ideas guys.only 42hrs on clock.best petrol used.

Check the terminals are screwed tightly on the top of your spark plugs ,or athat you have solid post plugs installed. My Yam GP1200 vibrated so much the terminals loosened off to less than finger tight during running - making hard starts and misfires.
I fixed mine with loctite mine. Seems 2strokers should use solid post plugs.
To check pull the rubber high tension lead & cap off the top of the plug and see if you can undo the terminal from the plug itself.
Good luck

Sounds like low voltage on the battery if you ask me. Once they drop to 11.9V or below they can be a little rough to start or not at all. Take note of voltage and turn off your accesories if getting low. Next time you are out and it happens again, turnoff everythinmg wait then try.

Just a hunch.......

funny u should say that, the last time i went out and it was hard to start the warning light did go off to say low batt, however there are two batts on this with a relay that kicks in when the main batt is charged and starts charging the next I dont know if the relay stops the main batt from draining when the aux stuff is running. I'm a bit lost on these pwc's they be new stuff for me, My boy has a nissan car that had same prob with vibration his turned out to be coil pack, trying plugs first.
thanks for your input. Smile
