New Jetski Fisher
No Jetski yet, maybe tomorrow. Seadoo 155Hp RXP two seater. Anybody know anything about them, it's basically what I can afford, thanks.
Re: New Jetski Fisher
Hey there. I would strongly recommend you try and go to a 3 seater, as I know of others who didn't and regretted it and have since replaced their 2 strs with 3 strs. You would be better going a little bit older just to get the 3 seater if $$$ is the concern, or alternatively wait a little bit longer until you can afford to spend a bit more.
The extra hull length makes a massive difference in the water especially and chop and generally stability. If you are ever likely to fish with 2 people on the ski occasionally then a 3 str is a must. Also the 3 strs traditionally have a heap more storage than the 2 strs etc..
Anyway thats my opinion, great to see you are keen and eager to get into this highly addictive sport, so keep us posted. If I get a chance I will post some of my recs off trademe.
If only the P users knew, this costs less in the long run and doesn't screw up your life !!

FX HO
Hi FX 160 HO is a great choice.
15 K should own one with not to much problem. anything from 30-100 hrs depending on how much the seller needs the cash out.

Re: New Jetski Fisher
Great stuff!!! Man you didn't muck around !! The Hondas have a good reputation for their short lifespan in PWCs but the engine is certainly proven on dry land and should be great.
Setup wise best you talk to Andrew (PM jetskifishing) and he can provide you with all the info on the gear that he has available. One things for sure we put the Ultimate Rod Holder to the test on 4 skis majorly over the weekend with rough rough conditions and the Waihi bar, and it held up perfectly (all that R&D of lost gear Andy ) If I had been using my original home made setup I would definately have lost the lot and probably caused some damage to my ski.
Anyway keep us up to date, and we look forward to your upcoming fishing reports.
Post under the contacts section your details and what area you will mainly fish around so others can contact you.
Cheers
