Michael & I wil probably launch Friday morning for try. According to the Maori fishing calander, fishing will be good for them too on Friday !! Pls dont too late as our ETD is 05:45. See windguru.com The (window) is there !! Tides are impotant - Low at 08:33 AM & high at 15:00 PM. Wind speed @ 07:00 = (4 - SE) & @ 13:00 (9 - NNE) . Wind picks up at +/- 18:00. If you miss this one you will feel
Next good window will be Thursday 25/11/08 till then!!

Hi Owen, thanks for the invite , most of the crew will be working, you never know someone might pull a sicky! Thursday maybe the calm day on the water, I might be going out if I have time on Thursday for the workups.

Owen, I am in, the weather forecast is great and I need to feed 8 adults Friday night with Snapper. I hope they are on the bite, otherwise it will be a long day!

Hi Owen, sounds good, we need to be in the water by 5.45am To get the real sunrise as the fish wakeup! Hope you guys have camera, so we can get some photos for the readers.

I would have to zap one of my sons cameras. I really need to get a water proof one & teach it to float.

Okay... I want to be in, but I am off to the 'Opera' tonight (Phantom) and am not sure when I will be home. Should I be able to come out tomorrow morning I will text Andrew, but certainly don't wait for me!

You are a classic, doing everything, catching 20 pounders , Phantom of the Opera, jetskifishing! I will have my 0274 864 560 Jetskifishing line with me Text me , I am sure we will be a Rakino area by 6am or otherwise I will be out wide at Mako territory finding the Snapper schools amongst the birds.

............................ in mind but unfortunately not body . I am on a plane at 6:50am to Palmerston Nth to spend the day with one of my sales team. I will be looking out of the plane window to try and spot you all if we take off in that direction.

The forum would not allow me to publish the language that expresses my pain in hearing that you are going out during what looks to be the only good window for several days !!!

A quick update on this trip, the water was flat with very low wind, incredidible conditions.
Only 3 of us headed out, most of fish were caught by 8am . I took home 4 from 340mm to 430mm, after puuting two OK ones back thinking there will be plenty more
Owen got 5 and Michael got 6, well done guys as it was a short bite time.
This is how far I travelled, a bit of crazy cruise day , starting at Bucklands in the red colour and going to the orange and heading back.
