Hi Jase, do you know where the Fx160 gets its extra 20 hp from ? is it just ECU map ? and/or bigger injectors,cams, higher compression etc? same motor isnt it ?

Look out everyone by the end of summer Softbaiter will be doin 80mph on a 300HP ski !! Control Tower at the Airport might think it is under attack by some low flying unidentified object on the Manukau!!! Razz

Ah, im a self confessed power nut, Everything I own normally gets modified (ex mechanic with a love for speed)

I figured if its as simple as a ECU remap or change then id go for it, But further investigation it seems it has a different head that raises the compression.. I couldnt pull the head off without SWMBO noticing lol

the power diffrences between most models are small things,like cams and or ecu,some engines run slightly higher compressions,
if you want a little more speed you could try feeding the engine a little more air or change the prop there are a few diffrent kits on the market
