Hey Chris,
i live in pt chev also and usually launch at Takapuna. home is only about 10-15 minutes from the ramp. top catch on barry points road is always open, so easy to get supplies, ice etc on the way.
maybe heading out on week end.
cheers,
Peter-j 021 922 023

Hey Fellas
Thanks for the welcome Peter j and Memfis.
Im dead keen to come out with some like minded fishermen / adrenaline junkies.
I keep my ski under my office in Grey Lynn in case of the quick need for mental health through the week.
I have been launching at west haven , but i guess Takapuna would seem smarter , as its closer to the fish.
Is it hard to find a park ?
Are there better times to use the ramp ?
I have two kids , so pass outs on the weekend are there but limited, mostly friday evening or Saturday morning .
Im looking forward to meeting you guys.
Do you know anyone with a Sea doo Gti 155 that has fitted a sounder, as i want some ideas of how not to drill holes in the hull.
Cheers Guys
