anyone heading out saturday

Thinking of heading out on saturday for a fish, anyone else going out?

I will be heading out hopefully 2 of the 3 long weekend days, will let you know closer to the time which.

Sundays out for me, but Monday and Saturday morning im good to go. Weather wise Saturday is also looking a bit better. bite time looks to be around 1:20pm and Excellent on the fishing calendar

Sadly I have to work all week, so tomorrows out, im in for Saturday, but I think I will go about 8am, I need a sleep in, the last week has worn me out

Wish I could join you guys but was out yesterday with the wild bunch by Crusoe (got and heading out tomorrow with Andrew, Mark, Memphis.... Fishing would start to get real expensive if I tried to include another trip - staying married is WAY cheaper.

HAHAHAAA Bite times later in the day. Baby due in 6 months, im pre sleeping for when it comes.

Im keen for KawaKawa, Bit time is a bit after lunch.

Would like to go out but not for that long so envisaged going out from BB ramp (unless chocker with other boats - then Eastern Beach but SE wind so not as good) maybe 5:45am Saturday morning.

Drive to Kawakawa bay too far for a quick trip so anyone interested as want to see if any fish around Sargents channel after this weeks carnage on the water.

Plan to be 2 hours max out there so maybe back at ramp 8 to 8:30am all going well.

Any of you guys run a VHF and on what channel?

Always on channel 6 but its close proximity only

Im definately going out tomorrow from Kawakawa bay. Makes a change from BB/Crusoe all the time.

Softbaiter what time you coming over? I dont have any particular time set yet, but morning sometime. Before the wind.

Ive got a vhf. Which reminds me it needs a charge

Channels 6/8 are no good for finding people as they are only good over short distance - line of sight.
Really people should stay on channel 80/82 to listen for and locate others coming out as these channels have long range. Once contacted you then move to another channel and use 6 (or 8 ) when close together for ski to ski chats.

I set my vhf to scan 6,8,16,71,80,82

Alex, man I'd love to be there but can't get out until about lunchtime as trialing another ski. Only been out 2x in last 3 days and feel withdrawn already!
