hi guys,
,im fitting my EAGLE sounder/GPS,the instruction an installation book show several ways to fit the transducer,one being externally bracketed,the other being epoxyed to the inside of the hull,has anyone done this internal transducer install,what type and brand of epoxy ,what is the best location,how effective,any other pros or cons with this install,

i used silicon just in case it was in the wrong place but it stuck like s--- no need for epoxy

thanks for that ,i didnt think about silicon[silaflex ??],how do you think your readings and performance on the sounder would be if the transducer was mounted externally on your transom ,better or the same,cheers PJ

maybe worse its out of the white wash, i get a perfect reading and its out of the way wont snap off if you come off a wave or beach,i get a constant reading at all speeds one less thing to worry about cheers

there's no harm trying it in the hull first no holes to drill, if it does not work for you can all ways mount on the transom later

all good advise,having the transducer transom mounted will not last long ,because of the surf i drive my ski full bore up the beach and sometimes its quite a hard landiing ,so anything sticking down at the rear of the transom will get wiped out pretty quik,if i can get the same readings with a internal mounted set up then i will be happy,cheers PJ
