2stroke oil alarm [yamaha waverunner GP1200X]
Does anyone know how to disable the low oil alarm on a 2stroke waverunner.
My oil pump's been removed to use premix, but everytime I start up, the alarm beeps [ear piercing] and I have to hit the reset button to turn it off.
I thought I should be able to connect a couple of wires to trick it into thinking there's oil in the tank.

Hey Orca,
Pull the oil sensor out of the oil tank remove the plastic part with the the gause in it and cable tie the float up so the sensor thinks that it is full all the time. No need to cut any wires.
Cheers

two stroke , pre mix
Thinking about removing my oil pump and running premix through her instead.
Do I have to do anything else besdies remove the pump
ie... blank anything off or block hoses etc ?

My pump was already removed and blanking plate added to block, along with hoses and any sign of a sensor or connecting wires, so I'm in the dark as to which wires are controlling the signal, I'll try and look for some unterminated wires.
I would say the drawback of removing the variable rate oil pump is smokey running at idle or trolling speed
