I wont even bother with metservice as its almost like they live in a cave

This site I have been using for as long as i can remember, gets updated regularly and is pretty relevant for the gulf and its outer reaches

Somewhat useful to give you a general idea what the east cost is doing

If you have windows vista you can put the cobb weather gadget into the sidebar, which is sort of useful as it has a lot of weather stations you can get realtime info from, wish someone would set one up on waiheke

I use swell map, yet not to accurate lately, I think they get all the information from the same sources?

I use www.metservice.co.nz
you can choose your region, it shows wind, tides and moon rise and set, so you can work out the bite times from that

yeah I use metservice for the general forecast, then the above sites to see if they are telling porkies or not!

thanks for the site names ive just put them in my favorites,you still cant beat the old system(looking out the window)if its wet its raining,if theres shadows on the ground the suns shining,if the washing is on the ground its windy,if the neigbours washing is in your backyard its a dam gale ,any way thanks for that info,cheers PJ
